Empress of the Underworld

You can buy this book on Amazon, but I’m not sure why you’d want to.

This book is Abbey’s adventure. In it, she begins as a shallow, spoiled, sociopathic whore, and for no real reason she transforms into a humble and wholesome paragon of virtue and goodness.

Probably the most annoying thing about this series is the fact that it completely ignores any character development in previous books. Periodically, we’ve seen changes for the better in Abbey, signs that she was starting to act like a decent person. And she has gotten very slightly better throughout the previous five books. However, now that she’s the main character, all of this is ignored and Abbey is back to being even more of a bitch than she was in the first book.

This one also contains several scenes and ideas that are shamelessly stolen from C.S. Lewis’ The Silver Chair. And by ‘several’ I mean ‘around half the book’.

you thought I was kidding, didn’t you?
